The Needs System

On board the Ship you have needs, just like in real life and you neglect them at your peril. Keep an eye on your needs icons. These are displayed on your HUD as a particular need becomes pressing and change colour from green through to purple as a need becomes more urgent. You can satisfy your needs at locations all over the Ship. Use the map in your inventory to find the nearest place. Some needs have unpleasant consequences and some can be fatal so its a good idea to carry some items around with you if you don't want to die of hunger or thirst.

Security on board The Ship

There is security on board in the form of guards and cameras, who protect the unsuspecting passengers who share the Ship with Hunters. The security team enforces the ships laws, the primary law being no murder, so don't get spotted!

Passenger Identities

You will see your own name at the top left of your screen. Your Quarry's name is displayed at the bottom right. Everyone on board the Ship has a name but the most interesting person to you is your Quarry...

How to Hunt your quarry

The rules of the Hunt are simple. Each of you is given the name of one of the other contestants on board, your Quarry, and you must Hunt them down and kill them with any weapon you can find on board. Depending on the game mode, either the last Hunter left alive is the winner or the Hunter with most money in their bank account wins. As well as having someone to Hunt, you have another player hunting you, your Hunter, so keep looking over your shoulder if you want to stay alive.

Customise your character's Outfit

The Ship offers a great deal of opportunity for players to customise their character. You can change your outfit and if you look different enough your Hunter or Quarry will not recognise you the next time they see you.

Exploration on The Ship

To be successful in the Hunt you need to know your way around the Ship's in Mr X's fleet. Each Ship has its own secrets including hidden rooms, passages and tunnels, extra weapons in special locations, environmental traps and triggers and extra special ways of murdering your quarry. To win, you need to explore thoroughly and use your imagination to find the hidden extras on board each Ship.

When to go to the Sick Bay

Each Ship in Mr X's fleet has a sick bay and psychiatrist to heal injured and counsel traumatised players. If you have been poisoned, sickbay will heal you. If your needs have gotten on top of you visiting sick bay will reset your needs, for a price. You can also find a few unusual items in the sickbay and the doctor's office so you may want to take a look around...

How to use Money on The Ship

You will arrive on board the Ship with a generous £2,500 holiday allowance in your bank account and £250 cash in your pocket. You will need cash to pay for food, drink, clothing, items from shops and to bribe security staff so it's a good idea to keep some cash on you. However, if you are murdered successfully by your Hunter, you will lose all the cash you have in your pocket. Money in your bank account is safe, even if you are murdered so it's a good idea to bank any cash you find or which you are given by Mr X for a successful murder. You can also pick up money dropped by other players who have been murdered but watch out because one of the weapons available on board is cunningly diguised to look like a wallet and may give you a bit of a surprise if you try to pick it up!
